Plans change. When they do, Oray's cancellation policy is built to be genuinely simple: cancel before the cut-off window shown on your ticket, and you get a full, 100% refund, not a partial credit, not a voucher you're forced to accept instead of your money back, an actual refund to the way you paid.
A track record you can check
We'd rather point to what has actually happened than make a promise and hope it holds up. Oray has been operating for 18 months, has served more than 400,000 travellers in that time, and has not had an unresolved refund complaint in that entire period. Every customer who raised a genuine cancellation or refund issue with us got it sorted. That's the real evidence behind this policy, not a marketing line.
A simple process, on purpose
Cancelling a bus ticket on Oray does not involve a form to fill out, a support ticket to wait on, or a call centre queue to argue your case in. You cancel directly from your booking, within the cut-off window shown on the ticket, and the refund process starts immediately. We built it this way deliberately: a refund policy that's technically generous but practically painful to use isn't actually generous.
Beyond the refund, a little extra
When you cancel a booking with us, you don't just get your money back, we also add a goodwill voucher or discount you can use on your next Oray booking. This isn't required of us, and it isn't standard across the industry, we do it because a cancelled trip is already an inconvenience, and we'd rather send you off with something extra than leave you exactly where you started.
When a partial charge applies
If you cancel after the cut-off window shown on your ticket, a partial charge applies rather than a full refund, this is the same standard policy that applies across every Oray service, cab, bus and hotel alike. The cut-off window itself is always shown clearly on your ticket at the time of booking, so there are no surprises about when it closes.
Why we can promise 100%, not more
You may have seen other bus booking platforms promise refunds well above 100% of your ticket price for cancellations or service failures. Oray does not make that promise, and we would rather be honest about why: those platforms operate at a scale and with a capital base we don't have yet. What we can promise, and what we have delivered consistently for 18 months, is a genuine, full, no-argument 100% refund, backed by a real track record rather than a number designed to sound impressive.
How to cancel
Open your booking in the Oray app or website, select cancel, and confirm. If you're within the cut-off window, your refund is processed straight away to your original payment method. If you have any trouble at all, Oray's support team is reachable directly, not routed through the bus operator.
What if the bus itself lets you down
A refund policy also has to cover what happens when the problem isn't your change of plan but the operator's, a bus that's cancelled outright, or a trip that fell genuinely short of what was promised. In either case, Oray's support team looks into it directly with you, and the same honest, no-argument approach applies: if the service failed you, you get your money back, in full, without having to fight for it through the operator.
Payment methods
Pay by UPI, card or net banking at booking. Refunds are returned to the same payment method used for the original booking, so there's no separate wallet or voucher system standing between you and your money.
