Book a pilgrimage taxi across South India, to Tirupati, Rameswaram, Madurai, Palani, Sabarimala, Kumbakonam and every major temple town Oray serves. A pilgrimage trip works the same way as our Round Trip service, one driver, one vehicle, out to your destination or destinations and back to where you started, but built specifically around what a pilgrimage actually needs. If your journey is simpler, a single destination with no special driver or vehicle requirements, our standard Round Trip service will usually work just as well and may be more cost effective.
Experienced, spiritually aligned drivers
Most pilgrimage trips call for a driver who understands the journey, not just the route. Oray matches you with experienced drivers, often senior and spiritually aligned with the trip, who know temple timings, darshan queues and the rhythm of a pilgrimage day. A driver who has made a journey many times before, and treats it with the right respect, makes a real difference to elderly travellers and families in particular. If your group needs a driver who speaks good English or Hindi alongside the local language, useful when travelling with family from another state or country, contact Oray customer care and we will match you accordingly.
Vehicles sized for your group
A pilgrimage often means travelling as a family or a larger group, so Oray offers vehicles beyond the standard hatchback, sedan or SUV. Seven-seaters suit a family group, and for larger parties, 12- and 20-seater tempo travellers and minibuses are available. A tempo traveller is a spacious commercial vehicle, built by Force Motors and widely used across India for group and family travel, with rental options from 9 to 26 seats depending on your group size. Per-kilometre rates for a tempo traveller typically start between 22 and 36 rupees, depending on the seating layout and comfort tier you choose, from a standard bench layout to a more comfortable pushback-seat configuration for longer journeys.
Pricing and planning ahead
Fares for pilgrimage trips, particularly tempo travellers and minibuses, can shift with fuel prices, weather and seasonal demand, especially around major festivals and peak pilgrimage seasons. If you can plan your trip in advance, contact our booking manager directly, planning ahead usually secures a better, guaranteed price than booking at short notice, and gives us time to match the right vehicle and driver to a larger group.
Multi-day pilgrimage circuits
Many pilgrimage trips cover more than one temple town over several days, with your driver waiting at each stop before continuing to the next. On any night your driver stays away from their home base, a standard daily driver allowance, known locally as bata, applies, and this is built into your estimate before you confirm, not added afterward.
Verified drivers, real accountability
Every driver on the Oray platform is background-checked before their first trip, and pilgrimage drivers are matched with the additional experience your trip calls for. You get the driver's name, vehicle number and estimated arrival before pickup, and you can track your trip throughout your pilgrimage, from the first temple to the last.
Payment and cancellation
Pay by UPI, card or net banking at booking, or settle the balance in cash at drop-off. Cancel before the cut-off window shown on your booking for no fee, a partial charge applies after that window.
Popular pilgrimage routes

Tell us your temples, your group size and any driver preferences, and we will match you with the right vehicle for the journey.
