How booking works
Search your route, add any stops along the way, and choose your pickup date and time. Each stop you add updates your fare estimate, so you know the full cost before you confirm. Oray's network of contracted taxi operators across South India means you are matched with a nearby, ready driver in minutes, without needing to check availability yourself.
Multi-day trips and waiting time
Many round trips are completed in a single day, out and back. Others run over two or more days, with your driver waiting at the destination overnight before the return leg, for example a temple circuit covering several towns before heading home. There is no free waiting window: time is billed from the moment your driver arrives at the destination, so plan your itinerary with that in mind.
On any night your driver stays away from their home base, a standard daily driver allowance, known locally as bata, applies. This is calculated into your fare estimate before you confirm, not added as a surprise afterward.
Transparent, upfront pricing
The operator's minimum trip distance, standard practice across the industry, is calculated automatically for your exact route, and the fare shown is the fare you pay. Tolls, state permits and parking are billed separately, based on your actual route, not folded into the quoted price.

Pick a hatchback for a smaller group travelling light, a sedan for the standard comfort tier, or an SUV if you have more passengers or luggage for a multi-day trip, each priced accordingly. Payment and cancellation
Pay by UPI, card or net banking at booking, or settle the balance in cash at drop-off. Cancel before the cut-off window shown on your booking for no fee; a partial charge applies after that window.
