Question 1

What is Oray Booking?

Accepted Answer

One platform for cabs, buses and hotels across Tamil Nadu and beyond. Search, compare and book any of the three without switching apps or sites.

Question 2

Do I need to sign in to search and see prices?

Accepted Answer

No. You can search and see real prices for cabs and hotels without an account. Signing in is only needed at the point of booking, so it never gets in the way of just looking.

Question 3

Is my personal information safe with Oray?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Oray handles the information you share in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and does not treat it as anything other than confidential. See the full Privacy Policy for detail on what is collected and why.

Question 4

How do I contact Oray support?

Accepted Answer

Call +91 99447 13141 (also on WhatsApp) or +91 95662 09982, or email oraytaxi@gmail.com. For a cancellation or refund specifically, email support@oraybooking.com with the words "Cancellation and Refund" in the subject so it reaches the right queue faster.

Question 5

Once a refund is approved, how long does it take to reach me?

Accepted Answer

Five to seven business days, credited automatically to whatever you originally paid with. If it has not arrived after that, check with your card issuer or bank first, then contact us if it still has not shown up.

Question 6

Is Oray available as a mobile app?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Oray app covers cab, bus and hotel booking as well. Unlike the desktop site, the app asks you to sign in before you can search, a deliberate difference, not a bug you’re seeing on one platform and not the other.

Question 7

How can I book or hire a taxi for One Way Drop Taxi?

Accepted Answer

Pick One Way in the booking slot, enter your departure and destination city and a pickup date, then search. Fares from every operator on that route are compared before you confirm.

Question 8

How can I book or hire Out-Station and Hourly Package Taxi?

Accepted Answer

Choose Round Trip for outstation itineraries or Hourly for local use. Hourly packages are blocked by the hour and include a kilometre allowance shown on the fare breakdown.

Accepted Answer

Yes. UPI, cards and net banking are accepted at the time of booking; the balance can be settled in cash at drop-off.

Question 10

Is there any charge for cancelling my booking?

Accepted Answer

No fee if you cancel before the cut-off window shown on your booking. After that a partial charge applies.

Question 11

What kinds of cab trips can I book?

Accepted Answer

One Way, Outstation Round Trip, Local (by the hour), Airport transfer, and Driver Hire. Pick the one that matches your trip when you search; each has its own pricing and fields.

Question 12

Are Oray drivers verified?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every driver is background-checked before their first trip on the platform.

Question 13

Can I see where my driver is once the trip has started?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Once a driver accepts your booking you can follow their live location, along with the vehicle and driver details, from your booking.

Question 14

Can I apply a coupon or promo code to my cab booking?

Accepted Answer

Yes, at the quote step, before you confirm. The discount is shown against your fare immediately so you know the final price before booking.

Question 15

Can I rate my driver after the trip?

Accepted Answer

Yes, once the trip is marked complete. You can also add a tip at that point if you’d like. It’s shown as its own line, separate from the fare.

Question 16

What if I have a safety concern during my ride?

Accepted Answer

You can report it directly from your booking, and it is logged for Oray’s team to follow up on. If Oray support is on duty, you can also reach them directly from the same screen.

Question 17

Can I book cabs in bulk for an event or for my company?

Accepted Answer

Yes, that’s a separate request flow from an ordinary booking. Submit your requirement (dates, number of cabs, headcount) and Oray’s team follows up with a quote rather than an instant price.

Question 18

Will I know the fare before I confirm my booking?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A quote is shown before you book, itemised, so there’s nothing to discover only after you’ve committed.

Question 19

Can I change my seat after booking?

Accepted Answer

Not directly with Oray. Contact the bus operator using the number on your ticket; some operators can move you to another open seat before departure, at their discretion.

Question 20

What if the bus is delayed or the operator changes the vehicle?

Accepted Answer

Operators occasionally change the bus, driver or timing for operational reasons. You will be notified on the mobile number given at booking. Oray is not able to control an operator’s schedule.

Question 21

Can I pay through Online or UPI?

Accepted Answer

Yes. UPI, cards and net banking are accepted at the time of booking.

Question 22

Is there any charge for cancelling my booking?

Accepted Answer

It depends on how long before departure you cancel and on the operator’s own policy, shown on this page before you pay.

Question 23

How does Oray find bus options for my route?

Accepted Answer

Oray checks multiple ticketing partners for your route and date and brings every option together in one list, so you can compare fares and operators in one place rather than checking each separately.

Question 24

Can I choose my boarding and dropping point?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Each trip lists its own boarding and dropping points with times. Pick the ones that suit you as part of booking.

Question 25

What seat types are available?

Accepted Answer

It varies by bus (seater or sleeper, AC or non-AC), shown on the seat map for that specific trip before you choose.

Question 26

Accepted Answer

Yes, at checkout, before you pay. The discount is shown against your fare so you see the final price before confirming.

Question 27

Can I get a GST invoice for my bus ticket?

Accepted Answer

Yes, there’s a place to add your business’s GST details as part of booking, if you need one for the trip.

Question 28

Why does Oray check the price again before I pay?

Accepted Answer

Hotel prices can move between your search and your booking. Oray re-confirms the room and price with the hotel the moment you reach this page, so you never pay a price that has quietly changed.

Question 29

Is the free-cancellation date on this page the final word?

Accepted Answer

Yes, for the room you have selected. It comes from the hotel itself and is shown again in the summary before you pay.

Question 30

Are there charges the hotel collects separately?

Accepted Answer

Some hotels ask for a deposit or charge extra for things like breakfast or an airport shuttle. Where that applies to your room, it is listed on this page before you book, not discovered at check-in.

Question 31

Can I pay through Online or UPI?

Accepted Answer

Yes. UPI, cards and net banking are accepted at the time of booking, the same payment step used for cab and bus.

Question 32

Does Oray show guest reviews for hotels?

Accepted Answer

Not currently. The star category shown against a hotel is its official classification, not a guest rating. There are no guest reviews on the platform today.

Question 33

Can I save hotels to look at later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tap the heart icon on any hotel or room to add it to My Favourites, so you can find it again without searching from scratch.

Question 34

Can I share a hotel or room with someone else before booking?

Accepted Answer

Yes, from the share icon on the price card. It sends a link to the exact same room, dates and price you’re looking at, so whoever you send it to sees exactly what you saw.

Question 35

Do I need to sign in to search for hotels?

Accepted Answer

No. You can search and see real prices without an account. Signing in is only needed when you’re ready to book.

Question 36

Does the price shown include taxes?

Accepted Answer

Prices on the search and hotel pages are the room price excluding taxes, and say so. When you reach the final step before payment, the taxes are added as a separate line and the total shown there is exactly what you pay online, unless the hotel lists a separate on-arrival charge.

Question 37

Can I choose whether breakfast is included?

Accepted Answer

Where a hotel offers more than one meal plan for a room, you can filter and choose between them (for example room-only versus breakfast included) before you book.

Question 38

What happens if the room is no longer available by the time I try to book it?

Accepted Answer

Oray tells you honestly rather than letting you pay for something that’s gone. If the room has sold out between your search and your booking, you’ll see that clearly and can pick another room or hotel instead.
